Hockey players will get the chance to improve their skills at a three-day holiday clinic presented by Jacques le Roux.
It will take place at Uplands College on July 14 from 14:30 to 19:00, July 15 from 09:00 to 17:30 and July 16 from 09:00 to 13:00. It will cost R850 per person and registration closes on June 28.
Jacques le Roux is a skilled hockey player who represented Boland at school level and Western Province at both u/21 and men’s senior level.
He debuted for the SA junior men’s team in 2008 against Pakistan and played at the men’s junior world cup in Singapore in 2009.
He was also part of the SA men’s team in 2011 at the Africa Cup Olympic Qualifiers in Zimbabwe, attended the 2012 Olympic Games as the number two goalkeeper for SA, next to Rassie Pieterse.
He currently represents the Western Province men’s team and runs a hockey goalkeeping academy called Goalkeeping 101 in the Western Cape. Here he follows his passion for equipping goalkeepers with the skills to be a dominating force on the hockey field.
