The cut-off time to qualify was five hours. Athletes could take part in the 10km, 21 km and 42,2 km distances.
Avril Pretorius and Kerry-Anne Clark better their personal time with 15 minutes this year. They did the 42,2 km in 4 hours and16 minutes. Xander and Christel Botha, as well as Corene Small, finished the same distance in 4 :46. Colin Pretorius finished the 10km.
It was a bit chilly at 14 degrees and it rained for the first 10 kilometres, but otherwise the rest of the day was cool and pleasant and the ideal weather for doing this race. The atmosphere at the finish at Mbombela Stadium was very festive.
