Growling tummies to get the tails wagging

Arkansas Spur at Westend Shopping Centre invites everyone to come and support the Lowveld SPCA on Tuesday August 11.

Arkansas Spur at Westend Shopping Centre invites each and everyone to come and support the Lowveld SPCA on Tuesday August 11.

The aim of this initiative is to help raise funds for this charitable organisation that has served the community since 1960.

All patrons need to do, is to simply relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. The evening starts at 18:00 and will run until closing time.

A generous portion of the turnover will be donated to the Lowveld SPCA.

One family might also be so lucky not to have to pay for their meal at all.

On this evening someone’s bill will literally be burnt to ashes and their meal will be on the house.

Donations of pet food and blankets can also be dropped into the collection box that will be placed in the foyer.

The “Pledge a Paw” representatives will also be in attendance should one wish to make a long-term commitment to the SPCA’s continued efforts in finding loving homes for the many pets in their care.

According to Lindie Roux of the SPCA they only have 200 people subscribed to the Pledge a Paw initiative and still need 800 more to reach their target of a 1 000 people.

Companies are also welcome to attend and wear their company T-shirts.
