Sedibe urges voters to learn from previous mistakes

EFF provincial chairman, Collen Sedibe, called residents of Ward 45 to vote correctly by voting for the EFF.

Sedibe stated this during their last mass campaign at KaKoperi on Sunday. The ward’s by-election will take place today – a position became vacant following the resignation of Mandla Mamba.

Lucia Phethile Maseko will stand as the EFF candidate.
Sedibe said if the residents need improved services, they must vote for the EFF and not repeat the same mistake they have been making in the past 23 years by voting for the ANC.

“As the EFF, we seek to create people’s municipalities. Your councillor will be available 24 hours per day to assist all of you. She will reside within you, who voted her into power. If ever she moves away and stays in town after electing her, tell us, we will remove her immediately. We expect your councillor to implement an open-door policy where you members of the community can visit her from time to time,” said Sedibe.

Sedibe further encouraged the party members to occupy any open land available, but not recreational spaces.
“Whites stole the land of our forefathers, therefore, we urge you to occupy any vacant land that you see. Leave out recreational spaces, as our kids need to keep themselves active. Politically, we attained democracy but now we need our economic freedom,” added Sedibe before taking a swing at the premier, David Mabuza.

“Mpumalanga is one of the most corrupt provinces in South Africa because of DD (Mabuza). Just recently, teachers were striking because he had stolen all the monies supposed to pay them. Since he (Mabuza) stays in this ward, make sure the EFF wins this ward so that he can be under it,” said Sedibe.

Maseko said God was caring for the residents of the ward, as He has afforded them a second chance.
“Last year, August 3 (during the local government elections) you made a mistake by not ensuring that the EFF wins the election. But because God is a caring one, He is affording you a second opportunity to vote the EFF into power,” she said.
