KABOKWENI – An alleged car thief was admitted to hospital last night after he was shot during a car chase.
Two suspects reportedly stole a Nissan 1400 in Clau Clau yesterday.
With the assistance of Bossies Community Justice’s Albert Gryvenstein, KaBokweni’s police were able to track down the vehicle.
According to Gryvenstein, two suspects sped off with the bakkie when police approached it. A car chase ensued and shots were fired. “One suspect escaped and the other was injured. He was transported to hospital where he is recovering from gunshot wounds,” said Gryvenstein.
