Four injured in Waterval Boven accident

Four people were injured last night, two of them critically, when two light motor vehicles collided on the N4 outside of Waterval Boven in Mpumalanga.

WATERVAL BOVEN – ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found two light motor vehicles on the side of the road some distance apart. Four patients had already climbed out of their vehicle and were found lying on the grass.

Paramedics immediately assessed the patients and found that two had sustained critical injuries while the remaining two had sustained only moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the second light motor vehicle was apparently not found on the scene.

The local authorities were on the scene to conduct an investigation into the matter.
