New owners same Bundu

Lowvelders can look forward to some added family value at Bundu Lodge that will soon be under new management while staying true to the spirit of excellence that has been the cornerstone of the lodge for the last 30 years.

MBOMBELA – The iconic Bundu Lodge, well known as one of the premium places to kick back and relax in the Lowveld, will soon be under new management.

After 30 years at the helm, founder and owner Willem Janson will relinquish control, but retain a minority share in the business, “so that we might assist the new owners to ensure a smooth transition,” said co-owner Enesta Janson at a media briefing on Wednesday September 20.

“We want to let the people of the Lowveld and our loyal customers know that we will be keeping the name and maintaining the excellent service that they have come to know, but with an added bit of spice,” said Ntombizodwa Tshabalala, new owner and partner of Sibusiso Tshabalala.

According to Enesta, the time was right for them to hand over the business to the new owners.

“After 30 years we have run out of ideas and with the aim of keeping track with the local trends in the market we have been looking for the right partners to take over from us. These are the right partners and we are extremely positive about this exciting new venture.”

Sibusiso, boasting more than 10 years’ experience in corporate and business banking said, “What is at the core of Bundu Lodge will not change, what we aim to do is to enhance and grow the business so that we might present it to the rest of the country and hopefully internationally.”

Customers can look forward to enhancements which aim to add to the family-friendly feel of the lodge, “to us it is about relationship building, so we will not tamper with the legacy and superior service associated with Bundu,” said Ntombizodwa who has a background in marketing and client-and-partner relationship management.

“From our side as the outgoing management we would like to reassure the public that we are confident about this partnership, we know this will be a smooth transition process, the boat won’t rock. So if you want to emigrate back to nature, come to Bundu,” said Enesta.
