Local businessman sets his sights on national prestige

The first phase of the construction will be completed by Easter next year.

MBOMBELA – Local businessman, Samuel “Sam” Ntlemo prides himself in the fact that his construction company, Ntlemo Projects will renovate the iconic Rondevoux Centre right in the heart of Margate’s tourism hub.

Having been in operation since 2003, the company has extensive experience in construction and renovations. It is, however, looking to expand its business to include property development. Therefore, it jumped at the opportunity to work on the Rondevoux Centre.

“As we are intent on growing our business through property development, we spotted the opportunity and are looking forward to completing phase one of the work by Easter next year,” said Ntlemo, who added that although his company does work in Mbombela and surrounds, it has experience working on projects in other provinces.

“We work all over, so it’s not new for us to do work in KZN, but we are excited about branching out to property development,” he said. Although building its presence and reach is Ntlemo Projects’ main aim, the company also works hard to give back to the communities in which it works.

“Wherever we work, I try to find projects in which we can plough back,” said Ntlemo, who grew up in Bushbuckridge.

Education is the key to financial and personal success, in Ntlemo’s opinion, and he therefore focuses his corporate-social-responsibility drives on addressing education in the province.

“This year we focused on the schools in the Bushbuckridge area, by donating food parcels and school uniforms to at least 50 per cent of the insitutions in the area,” he said.

To Ntlemo, one of the most rewarding aspects of his business is the ability to give back to rural communities.

“It is especially the rural areas that need help, and that’s where we focus our drives to assist people by explaining to them the importance of education and helping them to achieve the success they need,” he stated.
