UPDATE: Traffic moving slowly at Lebombo border post following earlier gridlock

Motorists heading to Mozambique are advised to use alternative border crossings such as Mananga/Lomahasha border posts according to information issued by TRAC.

KOMATIPOORT – Traffic at the Ressasno border post is also moving again following extensive delays earlier in the day,  according to TRAC communications manager, Solange Soaress-Nicholson.

KOMATIPOORT – With a steady stream of holidaymakers on their way to Mozambique the Lebombo border post has been seeing high volumes of traffic this weekend.

On Saturday, December 23  Trans African Concessions (TRAC ) communications manager, Solange Soaress-Nicholson said that no traffic was coming from the Ressano border post due to the high traffic volumes.

“No traffic is moving in both the east or west at this stage with massive delays at the Lebombo border post, said Soaress-Nicholson  who added that traffic was backed-up approximately 10 kilometres from the border post.

Soaress-Nicholson reported, on Friday, December 22  that due to extreme congestion on the N4 toward the Lebombo border post, traffic was brought close to a standstill for approximately 11 kilometres from the border post.
