Certificates for swimmers
Swimmers received their blue certificates as rewards for a gala held earlier.
The Sanswem gala for New Life School’s pupils on March 27 could not take place due to rain.
Children from under two years to six years old would have participated. It would have been an opportunity for swimmers to show their parents what they have learned at Sanswem.
Some swimmers, however, did receive their blue certificates as rewards for a gala held earlier. Zinhle Shilubane, Pontsho Mashigo, Nhlalala Chuma and Snegugu Makaringe can now proudly show that they are water-safe and can swim. Pontsho Mashigore received the trophy for most advanced swimmer of the year and Zinhle Shilubane won the Saseka trophy for best swimmer of the year.
Sandra Botes is proud of the swimmers’ achievements and thanked Christine van den Bergh, who helps her with the swimming lessons.
