Gymnasts do their club proud
It was a valuable experience for the new level ones who competed for the first time.

On May 5 Hazyview Gymnastics Club participated in the Eldoraigne Prep Competition for girls and boys level one to three in Centurion.
It was a valuable experience for the new level ones who competed for the first time, but all did very well and remembered the routines they practised.
Lynne Wallace, the gymnastics teacher said she was pleased with the results. “There is still a lot of hard work to do, but now we know what to focus on.”
Hazyview Gymnastics Club specialises in artistic gymnastics, with gymnasts performing on four apparatuses – floor, beam, bar and vaulting.
Results Level one girls:
• Alexis Ireland: 7,55 (bar), 7,60 (beam), 8,00 (floor), 8,80 (vault), bronze
• Lyla Prinsloo: 8,20 (bar), 8,20 (beam), 8,75 (floor), 9,05 (vault), silver
• Abigail Wallace: 8,50 (bar), 7,45 (beam), 8,55 (floor), 9,20 (vault), bronze.
Level one boys:
• Zak Price: 7,00 (parallel bar), 7,50 (low bar), 5,75 (floor), 8,95 (vault), bronze.
Level two girls eight years:
• Ashley Shaw: 8,95 (bar), 8,95 (beam), 8,85 (floor), 8,40 (vault), silver.
Level two girls:
• Erin du Plessis: 5,75 (bar), 7,85 (beam), 8,65 (floor), 8,95 (vault), bronze
The next competition will be held this weekend in Mbombela.
On Friday May 18 level one boys will compete from 14:30 to 16:45 and level three girls and boys from 16:30 to 19:15.
On Saturday May 19 level two boys will be in action from 08:30 to 10:00, level one girls (8, 9 and 10+ years) from 12:30 to 15:15 and level two girls from 15:00 to 17:30.
