Community runs the extra mile
This event was initiated to create awareness of the plight of local communities and raise funds for Jabez Preschool.

The Extra Mile trail run held by the More Community Trust and Sabi Sand Pfunanani Trust attracted 145 participants who braved cold and wet circumstances to complete (and even enjoy) the race.
This event was initiated to create awareness of the plight of local communities and raise funds for Jabez Preschool.
The route started at the Digital Learning Campus at Huntington Village and continued through the communities of Huntington and Justicia, finishing on the soccer field at Hunt Digital Learning Campus and Hundzukani Primary School.
There were delicious food and drink stalls on the day that kept the spectators and participants warm and happy. Picasso’s Mexican Taqueria and Sabie Brewing Company were both there, and Sabi Sand Game Reserve also had a pancake and sausage stall.
Warrior Ric and a DJ provided entertainment all day long and Kinyonga Reptile Centre of Hoedspruit gave a reptile demonstration for the children.
There was also an auction and a raffle where valuable prizes were won. “We would like to thank all the members, spectators, sponsors and crew for their share in the success of the day,” said one of the organisers, Ané Coetzee from Sabi Sands.
“We hope to see everyone at The Extra Mile trail run next year, which will take place on May 18, 2019.”
