More glory for gymnasts

Their strength and flexibility were measured.

Hazyview gymnasts recently participated in the Mpumalanga I trials for level 1-3 at Nelspruit Gymnastic Academy.

They competed against NGA Nelspruit and White River, Middelburg, Ngodwana, Ermelo and Secunda.

Strength and flexibility were measured to ascertain their development and readiness for the next competition – Mpumalanga II in Ermelo on June 1 and 2.

Along with medals and progress reports, they took home vouchers from Mountain Spring Spur.

The results:

• Tannur Calaca: 8,85 (vault), 8,40 (bar), 7,65 (beam), 8,05 (floor) – gold and Mpumalanga colours

• Abigail Wallace: 9,05 (vault), 8,80 (bar), 9,05 (beam), 9,20 (floor) – gold and Mpumalanga colours

• Ashley Shaw: 8,65 (vault), 8,80 (bar), 8,80 (beam), 9,00 (floor) – gold and Mpumalanga colours

• Alexis Ireland: 9,05 (vault), 8,20 (bar), 8,50 (beam), 8,45 (floor) – silver and Mpumalanga colours

• Lyla Prinsloo: 8,85 (vault), 7,90 (bar), 8,60 (beam), 9,00 (floor) – silver and Mpumalanga colours

• Erin du Plessis: 7,30 (vault), 7,95 (bar), 8,30 (beam), 8,40 (floor) – silver and Mpumalanga colours

• Nicalhe Marshall: 8,20 (vault), 8,15 (bar), 8,50 (beam), 8,30 (floor) – bronze and Mpumalanga colours

• Zak Price: 8,55 (vault), 7,50 (P/bar), 5,30 (bar), 8,00 (floor) – bronze.
