Rugby rivals to meet again

If Nelspruit win they will avenge the defeat to White River in April and prove to be the best team in the Lowveld.

The biggest club rugby rivalry in the Lowveld will continue when White River travel to Nelspruit Rugby Club for a Protours MRU Premier League match today.

White River are fourth on the log, with two wins, three losses and a draw in six matches. They have 14 points.

A victory will keep their semifinal play-off hopes alive. Nelspruit have had a good season and are second to Sasol on the log table, with 23 points. They lost twice this season, one of which was away to White River, 29-24.

If Nelspruit win they will avenge the defeat to White River in April and prove to be the best team in the Lowveld.

They will also, with only three league matches left after this one, put themselves in a strong position for a home semi-final.

Recent seasons have proved that when it comes to these enemies, neither recent form or log positions count for much.

White River is coming to Nelspruit to upset the home side’s day.

The third teams’ match will commence at 12:45 and the seconds kick-off at 14:00. The first teams will clash at 15:30.
