A couple’s argument ended badly when their car overturned on the road between Mbombela and Karino (N4).
The accident occurred on Wednesday at about 15:00.

Community safety spokesman, Joseph Mabuza said that the couple was arguing when one tried to grab the steering wheel.

“We do not know who was driving when the accident occurred, although it was a male and female in the car. They were both slightly injured and transported to Mediclinic Hospital.”

Mabuza said that he would like to advise the public to avoid driving when they are emotionally unstable.

”The accident could have ended worse than what it is.

The vehicle could have collided with a taxi filled with passengers.

They could have been injured due to the argument. Motorists should drive when they are fit to do so, and if they are not they should park on the side of the road.

“If you are driving and an argument starts, stop and resolve the matter then continue when you are done. A car is like a loaded gun. If it is held on the road, it can shoot and injure people,” he added.
