Another good Samaritan has come forward in the case of Dewaldt van Heerden, who got his wallet back after it went missing on the R40 last week.
According to Peggy Singwane, her prospective son-in-law, Siyanda Mbiko, picked up the wallet on the R40 near Crossing SUPERSPAR last Sunday morning at 09:30.

“He then handed over the wallet to our family, as he was unsure what to do with it,” Singwane said.

According to her they wanted to hand it over to a safety official and decided to give it to Simon Hlatshwayo from Nelspruit City Improvement District.
After the previous article in Nelspuit Post, claiming that Hlatshwayo picked up the wallet and that he was the hero in the story, the family was furious.
“We do not have any problem sharing the credit,” Hlatshwayo’s boss, Pastor TJ Maré, said. “The point of the story is that a man got his wallet back without losing any of its contents and for that we are thankful.”
Maré added that Hlatshwayo is very trustworthy and the fact that the family handed the wallet to him is proof of that.
Mbiko has since gone back to his home in Richard’s Bay.
