Buco hosts a night under the Lowveld stars

Clients could browse through stalls that supplied everything from cement and wood, to corrugated iron and dog food.

A night under the stars sounds like something reserved for the likes of Paris or New York, but BUCO White River made this a reality right under our noses.

On July 11, more than 55 suppliers from all across the country set up their stalls on the BUCO grounds.

Various food stations were set up across the venue and fires were burning high to keep the cold out.

When patrons started arriving at about 18:00, they were greeted by the friendly BUCO staff and were blown away by the variety of stalls that they could visit.

According to Tanya Gibson, one of the event organisers, the goal was to host a fun evening for both clients and suppliers who have a close relationship with the store.

“With the economy being what it is, we just wanted to do something fun.”

And with Radio Lowveld broadcasting live, more than enough treats and a drink or two, that is exactly what they did.

Clients could browse through stalls that supplied everything from cement and wood, to corrugated iron and dog food.

Each stall, however, had something unique to offer, like the Eureka stall who had a bow and arrow competition, or a live demonstration at the Bosch stall.

Joe Gradidge and Frans Massyn from Swartland said they have been BUCO suppliers for a long time and they have always been treated with respect and kindness.

Mapiti Kekana from Powerfix shared their sentiments and added that the evening was a great opportunity to network as well.

At some stalls you could also find a BUCO box where the stall owner could post a question to clients. If they answered correctly, they stood the chance to win an array of amazing prizes that included vouchers and equipment.

BUCO proved that its suppliers and clients’ best interests are its number-one priority.
