Little lambs have got a message for White River residents.
A "No dumping" sign was erected in aid of the White River Nature Reserve initiative.
Little Lambs Preschool’s grade R Bears Class spent 67 minutes plus on Mandela Day to clean up the panhandle section of White River Nature Reserve, bordering the preschool.
The pupils were divided into five teams and issued with equipment for the task. Leaves were raked, litter collected and most importantly, a “No dumping” sign was erected in aid of the White River Nature Reserve initiative.
The pupils of Little Lambs would like to deliver a message to the residents of White River. “Please keep our beautiful town clean!”
A dustbin was also placed for pedestrian traffic coming through the vlei area to utilise. BUCO White River assisted with the chain and bin.
They chained up the dustbin and then put the black bags with the litter picked up in it.
Lollipops were handed out to everyone as they rested after the hard work.
“It was really a grand success and our gardener, Victor Khumalo, even planted some flowers around a tree for coming spring,” said owner Gina De Gasperi.
