Young and old enjoy special tea

On August 30 the grade sevens of Summerhill Prep School hosted their annual tea for the senior citizens of the community of Hazyview (SCOTCH, as it became known).

During the year the class ran the Friday tuck shop as a business and part of the profits go towards this SCOTCH tea. This year they chose a “vintage” theme, and the decor and their outfits set a wonderful tone with the beautiful riverine forest as the backdrop.

More than 50 senior citizens were treated to tea and snacks and each person received a small gift. Each class also performed their eisteddfod choral verse which was very well received by the audience.
