Get your ducks in the school’s row
Big prizes can be won and everybody is invited to participate.

White River Primary School will host a duck race as a fun fundraiser in aid of its senior choir at Sabie River Camp on the outskirts of the town on September 14.
Big prizes can be won and everybody is invited to participate.
At 10:00 500 toy ducks will be dropped into the Sabie River. Once in the water, they will follow the flow of the river. The ducks are weighted to not tip over.
The organisers may manually maneuver the ducks that deviate off the racecourse, but otherwise no attempt may be made to free or interfere with any duck unless deemed necessary.
Pool noodles will be used to direct the ducks to a collection point that will serve as the finish line and where they will be retrieved.
Each entry will be assigned a number, which will correspond to the number associated with one of the ducks in the race.
A prize-giving ceremony will take place at 15:00 on the day.
Winners do not need to be present on the day of the race and will be notified telephonically.
If a winner, however, does not claim his or her prize within 30 days of the conclusion of the race, the school reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
The first prize is R10 000, second prize R5 000 and third prize R2 500.
