Chaplains converge on Uplands

They described it as a wonderful time of fellowship, learning and discussion, with a bit of fun and touring thrown in.

The annual National Independent Schools Chaplains’ Conference was hosted this year by Uplands and Penryn at eBundu Lodge.

The theme of the conference was “Chaplaincy to Young People in the 21st Century” and 33 attendees from top independent schools from all over the country participated.

They described it as a wonderful time of fellowship, learning and discussion, with a bit of fun and touring thrown in.

Some fabulous meals were enjoyed at Uplands, Penryn, 64 Coolmore and Hamilton’s. They also visited the Graskop Gorge, and had a night drive in the Kruger National Park. The organisers thanked the respective venues, as well as Ambassador Foods for sponsoring their snacks. Brenda Archdeacon and Megan Palmer of Performance by Design SA also assisted to make it a conference which participants could leave enriched and reinvigorated for their ministries in their individual schools.
