Traffic officials put in extra effort

Two officers spotted trying to patch up some of the potholes

The state of the roads in town has deteriorated to such an extent that two traffic officials were pictured trying to fill some of the holes with sand.

According to Laetitia Prinsloo, she was travelling down Voortrekker Street when she spotted the two officers trying to patch up some of the potholes.

“They didn’t want me to take a close-up picture because they didn’t want to be recognised. I did, however, managed to take a picture of them from further away.”

She said she even bought the two officials a Coke each. “I think they deserve recognition for at least trying to fix the holes,” Prinsloo told the newspaper.
