Community members blocked R555 after railway
The R555 between Burgersfort and Ohrigstad has been closed by angry community members.
The reason for the protest is still unknown. Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes travelling to and from Burgersfort and Ohrigstad.
Large rocks and branches are used to block the road off, no vehicle can pass! Motorists attempting to drive past the obstruction are being thrown with stones.
Alternative routes are via Lydenburg from both towns. Stay clear of this area for now, SAPS is on the scene.
