UPDATE: Urgent Care Sonpark in Mbombela is not an official testing centre for Covid-19

Sonpark Shopping Centre Management confirmed that Urgent Care Sonpark is not an official testing station for COVID-19. This follows a statement by the Mbombela-based shopping centre indicating that the facility was indeed officially marked for coronavirus testing.

It has transpired that centre management had based their statement on misleading information. They have since withdrawn it.

According to Nelspruit Community Forum’s (NCF) John Meintjies, a voice note with the disinformation had been doing the rounds on social media.
