Hiking trails closed due to Covid-19

SAFCOL has announced that, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all its managed attractions and hiking trails will be closed until further notice.

“All the ecotourism sites, waterfalls and hiking trails under SAFCOL/Komatiland will be closed, and so not accessible to the public, as from tomorrow (Monday March 23) for an indefinite period,” said Heather Berry from SCCT Tourism

  • Debegeni Falls & Picnic Site
  • Fanie Botha Trail
  • Forest Falls & Day Trail
  • Kaapsehoop Hiking Trail

  • Lone Creek Falls
  • Mac Mac Falls & Pools
  • Magoebaskloof Hiking Trail
  • Maria Shires Falls
  • Day trails
  • Forest Falls
  • Battery Creek Falls
  • Certain overnight hiking trails.
