Lowveld High School’s big 50th put on hold

The school’s birthday event is one of many to be postponed recently.

Lowveld High School’s big 50th birthday celebration is another event that has been postponed due to the nationwide lockdown.

The birthday celebration and a cocktail party reunion, which would have taken place on May 16 and 15 respectively, have now been postponed. The new dates cannot be decided yet, but it will attempt to host the events in October.

The birthday celebration was supposed to feature artists Mi Casa and Kabza De Small. Natacha Bouwer, marketing manager for the school, said the artists are likely to remain the same, but will once again be confirmed when the school decides on the date.

Other attractions to the event will include a kids’ zone, interschool rap and band competitions, food stalls and a beer tent.
