IN PICTURES: MEC for health receives donation of 15 000 masks

The masks are to be used by front-line staff at health facilities in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality. 

The MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, and Thaba Chweu Local Municipality mayor, Cllr Fridah Nkadimeng, received a donation of 15 000 face masks from Transvaal Gold Mining Estates (TGME) at Lydenburg Hospital on Friday.

 

They were handed over by the CEO of TGME, George Jenkins. The masks are to be used by front-line staff at health facilities in Thaba Chweu.

The MEC and the mayor visited Spekboom to conduct community screening as part of the department’s drive to flatten and curb the transmission of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the province.

Manzini also addressed the local community health workers at Marifaan Primary School in Skhila.
