PCA to ride from St Lucia to Mbombela
The Pediactric Care Africa team is on the last stretch of their 6 867 kilometre journey in the "Ride for a Child" charity bike ride, and reached St Lucia in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday.
The team, Dr André Hattingh, along with Steelwings Lowveld riders André Steynmann and Kevin Gelderblom, have already completed 6 300 kilometres and only have around 700 kilometres to go.
Their trip back to White River Square will begin tomorrow morning and the riders are expected to arrive back in Mbombela at 12:00 tomorrow.

Hattingh said after they arrived in St Lucia on Thursday, they were surprised later that evening when two bikers from Nelspruit 911 Riders knocked on their door.
“TJ Mare and Lazyja rode out all the way to St Lucia from Nelspruit to meet us and ride the last 700 kilometres or so with us back to White River,” said Hattingh.
“TJ had an accident with his bike after a cow walked into the road. Luckily TJ was not seriously injured but his motorcycle was no longer rideable.”
The cow seemed to be uninjured and ran off following the crash.”

PCA bikers rode to the farthest points of the country during their 21-day journey.
He said the purpose of visiting the farthest points of the country was to draw an imaginary circle around the children living in South Africa to show their solidarity with them.
The charity ride was a way for PCA to raise funds for children in need of medical care.
