Mpumalanga’s total Covid-19 death toll stands at 1 359

According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, 73 512 recoveries and a total of 946 active cases were recorded on April 08, 2021.

According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, 73 512 recoveries and a total of 946 active cases were recorded on April 08, 2021. The number of positive cases, recoveries and deaths in the province can be broken down as follows:

Ehlanzeni District

• Bushbuckridge: 6 240 cases, 6 040 recoveries and 159 deaths

• City of Mbombela: 16 137 cases, 15 744 recoveries and 166 deaths • Nkomazi: 6 730 cases, 6 642 recoveries and 59 deaths

• Thaba Chweu: 2 513 cases, 2 452 recoveries and 27 deaths.

Gert Sibande District

• Chief Albert Luthuli: 2 253 cases, 2 212 recoveries and 24 deaths

• Dipaliseng: 646 cases, 625 recoveries and 15 deaths

• Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 2 968 cases, 2 769 recoveries and 119 deaths

• Govan Mbeki: 6 960 cases, 6 733 recoveries and 77 deaths

• Lekwa: 2 486 cases, 2 228 recoveries and 97 deaths

• Mkhondo: 1 583 cases, 1 494 recoveries and 70 deaths

• Msukaligwa: 4 106 cases, 3 945 recoveries and 96 deaths.

• Dr JS Moroka: 1 395 cases, 1 351 recoveries and 40 deaths

• eMakhazeni: 1 029 cases, 993 recoveries and 24 deaths

• eMalahleni: 11 114 cases, 10 833 recoveries and 188 deaths

• Steve Tshwete: 6 765 cases, 6 535 recoveries and 133 deaths

• Thembisile Hani: 1 995 cases, 1 928 recoveries and 52 deaths

• Victor Khanye: 907 cases, 888 recoveries and 13 deaths.
