Blue Gate hosts top winemaker

Guests were treated to a variety of wines from Kleinood wine farmer and wine maker Gerard de Villiers.

The Blue Gate hosted prestigious winemaker Gerard de Villiers for an elegant wine evening complete with a four-course meal and five wines being paired.

De Villiers, who owns and runs the Stellenbosch-based Kleinood Farm where his brand, Tamboerskloof Wines, is produced, welcomed the guests at The Blue Gate and chatted about the various wines the intimate audience would be tasting that evening.

The guests were treated to Tamboerskloof Katherine Rose 2021, Tamboerskloof Viognier 2021, Tamboerskloof Syrah 2017, the Tamboerskloof John Spicer Syrah 2015 and the Tamboerskloof Mourvede, each paired with a delicious dish prepared by the staff of The Blue Gate.

The guests thoroughly enjoyed their evening of decadent dishes and delectable wine choices, with De Villiers chatting them through the process as the evening went on.
