Judgment expected in matter against Clau-Clau man accused of murder
The fate of a Clau-Clau man accused of killing a relative in May last year will soon be decided by the Mpumalanga High Court.
Judgment against a Clau-Clau man accused of killing his relative, whom he allegedly believed to be involved in witchcraft, will be handed down by the Mpumalanga High Court tomorrow, October 31.
In a statement by the Mpumalanga National Prosecuting Authority’s spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa, she said the accused, Raymond Mahlasela Mtshali (30), had allegedly visited the home of his relative, Modjadji Mtshali, on the evening of May 10, 2022.

He had found her watching television with her children that night. He visited the toilet a few minutes after arriving, and returned to the front room with a firearm and shot her several times.
Mtshali left the house and handed himself over to the police five days later, and was subsequently arrested.
He is charged with murder, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
