IN PHOTOS: The Chicken Run a new fun run for Lowveld children
The Chicken Run is a new addition to the Tswelopele Funerals Kaapsehoop 3-in-1 Marathon and allows children to participate in their own fun race.
There was a fresh and fun spin added to the Tswelopele Funerals Kaapsehoop 3-in-1 Marathon this year, just for the children: The Chicken Run.
Children from the ages of two to 12 were able to participate in a run of their own, following the main event late on Saturday morning, November 4, with each child awarded their own medal after completion of the run.

Tswelopele Funerals’ Johanné Strydom said the children had to complete one lap around the stadium and every participant received a medal.
“The Lowveld is so family-orientated, we thought we should start an event for the children,” she said.
She said she wanted the Chicken Run to become an annual race.
