Two die in collision outside Mbombela

A bakkie and a bus carrying learners collided on the KaMagugu road near the Mbombela Sewage Plant.

A collision between a bakkie and a bus on the D2296 KaMagugu road near the Mbombela Sewage Plant claimed two lives and two others sustained slight injuries, today November 11.

According to the spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, the two deceased and the two injured were occupants of the bakkie.

“The injured were transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital.”

He said there were no fatalities or injuries among the bus commuters.

The road remained closed for a recovery for a short time and has been cleared.
