Man found dead in Mbombela CBD

A man, believed to have been homeless, was recently found dead in the Mbombela CBD. No foul play is suspected in the cause of his death.

A man was found dead on the pavement at the intersection of Paul Kruger and Bester streets in the Mbombela CBD this morning, November 16.

According to a car guard who worked nearby, but did not want to be named, he said foul play was not suspected in the cause of the man’s death. He said he believed he was living on the streets, and that he would often sit in the same area in which he was found dead.

“He looked like he was in his 20s. He had been complaining for the past few weeks that he was not feeling well,” said the guard.

The police cordoned off the area around the man’s body and said while no foul play was suspected, they could not comment further.

A Nelspruit Police Station spokesperson, Constable Bongani Mokoena, said he was still gathering information on the matter and would give comment soon.
