A happy, clean Mbombela planned for New Year’s Day, 2024

We Care 4 Nelspruit will ensure that the community has access to clean public spaces.

On December 27, We Care 4 Nelspruit started with their latest project – #Better2024.

The project aims to ensure that Mbombela residents have access to clean public spaces in the new year.

The group, consisting of eight men, is working to ensure that the grass is cut, weeds are removed, rubbish is picked up, and that all trash collected is taken to a rubbish dump.

TJ Maré, the driving force behind We Care 4 Nelspruit, said that the #Better2024 project is a dream come true.

When asked why he will spend his days cleaning spaces, when he can rather spend them with his family, Maré said that Mbombela is his family. He said that the city’s gardens are his gardens and therefore he takes responsibility for them.

The group of men will work through rain and shine to ensure that they clean as many spaces as possible.

We Care 4 Nelspruit relies on private funding to ensure that the community has access to a clean environment.

Maré said that this is just the start and they will ensure that there is a bigger project at the end of 2024.

This clean-up will end on December 30.
