Power restored to Mbombela CBD
The power to the Mbombela CBD has been restored after the area had gone without for over 24 hours.
A cable fault that had caused a power outage in the Mbombela CBD for over 24 hours has been repaired, and electricity to the area has been restored.
Mbombela ward councillor Thea Rix said the electricity was restored just after 13:13 today, January 13.

The outage was first reported at about 11:30 on Thursday morning, January 11.
Rix said the power had been restored at about 13:30 on Thursday, but that it had gone out again at 22:30 that night.
