Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary celebrates cultural diversity

Much fun was had at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary School this week when they celebrated a special Cultural Diversity Day on Tuesday March 5.

Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary School’s Grade R class recently went on a trip around the world as they celebrated a special Cultural Diversity Day on Tuesday March 5.

The day was organised by the class’s teacher, Ellouise van der Berg, and school principal, Lizelle Kruger, and they encouraged the children to dress up in special celebratory clothing in accordance with the chosen cultures for the day.

The teachers chose to take the kiddies on a unique trip around the world by choosing India, Italy and Mexico as the three countries’ cultures in which they revelled for the day.

Three special stations were set up, one for each country, and each one was specially decorated according to theme, along with some tasty treats to boot. The children were educated on each country’s unique culture before they dove in to enjoy the specially prepared snacks.

Overall, the learners at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary had a great day out and enjoyed experiencing various cultures from around the world.
