Police vehicle overturns in Mbombela
No fatalities were reported; however, both drivers sustained minor injuries. They were treated on the scene before they were rushed to the hospital.
A police officer sustained minor injuries when he collided with a Honda Jazz early this morning, April 30, and overturned.
According to the spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, the accident occurred near the intersection of Samora Machel Drive and Brown Street at about 05:15.

“We are not sure at this stage what caused the accident; however, we will conduct an investigation to find out what caused the collision. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles and they sustained minor injuries. They were treated on the scene before being rushed to the hospital for further medical treatment. There were no fatalities,” he said.
Mmusi also said the police officer was on his way to fetch some prisoners in Barberton when he was involved in the accident.

He said law enforcement officers responded to the scene to control traffic, and plans are in place to remove the vehicles from the road.
