Mpumalanga’s most recent dam levels released

Here are some of Mpumalanga’s most recent dam levels for the Inkomati Catchment Area. Most of the dams in this area showed a slight decrease in the water levels.

The Department of Water and Sanitation released its latest report on dam levels on Monday May 6, which mostly showed a slight drop in capacity since last week’s results released on April 29.

Last week, all of the dams in the Inkomati area, except the Nooitgedacht Dam, were all sitting just over 100% capacity. This week, two other dams, Driekoppies and Da Gama, are now just below 100%.

Last week, Nooitgedacht was at 95.78%, but is now at 94.84%, while Driekoppies, which was at 100.47%, has dropped slightly to 99.78%. Da Gama Dam dropped from 100.29% last week to 99.8% this week. Vygeboom Dam’s levels also decreased slightly from 100.5% to 100.43%, while Kwena Dam went from 100.32% down to 100.24%.

Witklip Dam’s levels remained the same as last week’s and is currently sitting at 100.3%, and Inyaka Dam was the only one to show a slight increase from 100.26% to 100.3%.
