Watch: Driver stands up after being flung from car in high-speed collision

A video is being circulated of a man thrown from a hurtling car after it hits a palm tree and spins violently around.

A video has been doing the rounds on social media of a man speeding down one of Mbombela’s main routes and crashing into a tree.

In the video, a vehicle can be seen speeding down Ferreira Street in the direction of Wilhelm Street. The incident happened at around 22:20 on Thursday, June 6.

Just after the car passes the Engen fuel station, it veers onto the middle island and crashes into a palm tree. The driver of the vehicle is flung from the car. He lands on the opposite side of the road, rolls a few times, gets up, dusts himself off and walks away.
