Eco Pilots visit Riverview Preparatory School

The learners got to see some reptiles and amphibians and learned more about nature conservation.

It was a day full of exploration for Riverview Preparatory School learners in Malalane when the Eco Pilots visited them on August 28.

According to the school, Kenneth Strydom of the Eco Pilots brought some reptiles and amphibian friends to visit the kids. Eco Pilots is an educational nature conservation programme for children of various age groups.

A tarantula and a tortoise were only some of the animals the pupils learnt about in this entertaining exhibition. Everyone from the Cubs to the Grade Sevens got the opportunity to touch and hold some of the animals.

“It was so insightful and entertaining, and we loved seeing these animals in real life and even touching them. There were some moments where we thought they were going to jump on us or run away, but they were very well behaved,” the school said.
