Silulumanzi strike: Water disruptions might befall Mbombela

Some employees of Silulumanzi have embarked on a strike following a deadlock in wage negotiations between the employer and the unions.

The water supply company confirmed the strike on Tuesday, January 21.

Silulumanzi said the distribution of water and response times to complaints might be affected.

Communities that rely on free water supplied by tankers might be affected as well, owning to the absence of drivers.

The company urged customers to make contact with it via telephone or email, or to make use of the self-service portal on its official website.
