Police hunt for suspects involved in rape and kidnapping of Mafefe teenager

The four rape suspects were travelling in a Toyota Quantum.

A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped in Apel, Ga-Nkwana, on April 23.
The incident has led to the Limpopo SAPS seeking information that may assist in the apprehension of the four unknown suspects involved in the crime.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was on her way home from a local shop when a white Toyota Quantum with four occupants stopped next to her. Two suspects alighted from the vehicle and forced her into it,” said the Limpopo SAPS’s spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.

He said the suspects drove to the nearby bushes where they took turns raping her.

The police have opened a case of kidnapping and four counts of rape. The suspects remain unidentified at this time.
