The annual year-end ceremony and concert is a special tradition at the school and is a fitting end to pre-school for the little learners.
Curro Nelspruit’s 2025 Grade R pupils are officially all set and ready to take on Grade One next year following their year-end ceremony and concert.
Held on Thursday, December 5, the production, titled What on Earth?, featured an alien whose ship landed on our planet. As he travelled the globe to learn more about humanity, the alien was horrified by what he saw – pollution, dirty air, dirty water, and much more.
The concert carried the very important message that people need to look after the environment better and do more to ensure the health of the planet for future generations. The strong emotional message resonated with friends and family in the audience.

The fact that all of the costumes and decor were made from recycled materials made the evening all the more impressive.
Prior to the concert the Grade Rs held their graduation from preschool to primary school, with each pupil introducing themselves while stating what job they would like to do one day – it seems as though Curro Nelspruit is going to produce the next big crop of doctors and soccer players.
It was a special evening all round and the Grade R teachers wished their outgoing pupils all the best for Grade One.
