Mbombela power failure: Faulty cable still not located

Power has been disrupted since early Friday morning, January 16.

City of Mbombela (CoM) technicians are on-site at the Anderson Street Substation to locate the faulty cable that resulted in a power outage in the Mbombela CBD on Friday, January 16.

CoM’s spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, said there is no estimated time of power restoration and urged residents and businesses owners to be patient.

The outage resulted in non-working robots at major intersections in the CBD. However, traffic pointsmen have been deployed at various key intersections, including on the R40.
