Passenger dies after truck hits cement pallets on N4

A truck driver has survived a serious collision near Patata Nek that left one person dead and emergency teams clearing debris overnight.

A passenger died and a driver sustained minor injuries when a truck crashed on the N4 between De Beers Nek and Patata Nek last night, November 5.

Emergency personnel found that the truck had collided with pallets of cement positioned alongside the N4 for ongoing road maintenance and upgrades.
