All the books on this list were voted for by the general public over a period of 2 weeks with 35 000 votes. Notwithstanding the fact that the list is tending towards more popular literature, some of my favourite works are included.
Don’t expect a lot of true classics. I am definitely missing Chaim Potok, Marcel Pagnol, Patrick White, Sigrid Undset, Somerset Maugham and many more.
It is, nevertheless, a good list. Print the list and start reading. And do not forget to enjoy!
