Edu-poo – Teach ’em with their pants down

For some 20 odd years I have attempted to find some educational authority that will find some interest in my idea.
I am an old man now, 91 next birthday. I am British and have spent over 50 years in Africa, mostly in the east and here in South Africa.
Appalled by the ignorance of more than 80 per cent of our population here in South Africa, I thought up a novel idea that may educate our nation while sitting on the loo!
Every man, woman, and child, of necessity will spend a few minutes each day sitting “on the throne” as it were, doing presumably nothing, apart from their business.
Noting that we are able to fancy up our toilet paper with butterflies, rabbits and puppies, why not print something worthwhile on each sheet of paper?
Like simple arithmetic (sums) 6+4=10… 3+6=9… 7-2=5… all over the sheets. Or the capitals of the world: France – Paris, England – London, Spain – Madrid.
This educational opportunity to inform the people is boundless and costs next to nothing to accomplish.
I have approached dozens of toilet-paper manufacturers, and dozens of educationalists, both in South Africa and abroad, and all regard me as being some kind of freak!
I am tired now, and this will be my last attempt at putting my idea into action.
