Bike warriors to pedal up
The Barberton Rotary Club is ready for the Barberton XCM Mountain Bike Not So Delicate Challenge this Saturday, are you?

If you have not entered yet, you can do so at Hoërskool Barberton on Friday from 14:00 to 22:00 and Saturday from 05:30 to 07:00.
The 120km event for vigorous riders is set to start at 06:30,
the 75km at 07:00, the 45km at 07:30 and the fun race of 20km at 08:00.
“There is over R50 000 in prizes across the categories up for grabs and
lucky draws will take place during the day. Enjoy a refreshment in the SAB beer tent to find out whether you’ve won,” said race organiser Marina Coetzee.
Lots of Tsogo Sun Hotel prizes, Coca-Cola hampers and cash will also be given away.
A variety of food and beverages will be on sale. According to Nic Eksteen, president of the Rotary Club, this race would not have been possible
without its sponsors namely Lowveld Media, Coca-Cola, and Barberton Mines among others.
He mentioned they were excited and ready for the event. “The route
is ready and patiently waiting to test the cyclist’s fitness, skill,
determination and the power of their calves.”
You might not love yourself during the race, but with the breathtaking scenery you will have a valid excuse to get off your bike and push. You probably won’t be the only one…
When you cross the finish line, it will be worth it, and you will have earned the title “Daisy Warrior”.
