Lowveld rules the green with four wins
The Lowveld's winter sun ensured a warm but pleasant Mpumalanga Senior Ladies Masters Tournament for eight women on July 26 and 27.
The exciting tournament was held at Nelspruit Bowling Club with Toekie Botha, Veronica Coertzen, Joey Bam, Lettie Ambrosius, Lynn Nicholas, Beryl Biggs, Annetjie Nel and Marietjie Willers participating. Central, Highveld and Lowveld entered. In section one, the winner was Biggs (Lowveld) with six points and a shot aggregate of 25. Runner-up was Bam (Lowveld) with six and 23. Section two went to Ambrosius (Lowveld) with six points and a shot aggregate of eight and runner-up was Symons (Central) with six and 0.
Section three was won by Botha (Lowveld) with eight points and a shot aggregate of 22 and runner-up was Nel (Lowveld) with six and eight. The fourth section went to Nicholas (Lowveld) with eight points and a shot aggregate of 26 and the runner-up was Meyer (Central) with six and eight. Lowveld ruled the green by taking all four first places out of 24 players with Nicholas as the overall winner. Runner-up was Botha, in third place Biggs and Ambrosius in fourth.
